Hundreds of people gathered across Southern California beaches for a "Hold the Line" demonstration protesting President Trump and promoting Proposition 50 to redraw California congressional districts. Protesters packed sand from Santa Monica to Laguna Beach carrying signs reading "Bring back democracy," "America is not a dictatorship," and "Take the power back, say yes to 50." Crowds later moved along Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach as car horns blared. Speakers warned of threats to First Amendment rights after late-night show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" was briefly pulled from the air. Proposition 50 aims to favor Democrats in congressional maps.
