Donald Trump is losing patience with Russia, says Finnish leader
Briefly

President Alexander Stubb of Finland indicated that President Trump is becoming impatient with Vladimir Putin, emphasizing the need for the U.S. and Russia to consider Ukraine's President Zelenskyy in their discussions. Following a lengthy conversation, Stubb suggested a sanctions package aimed at crippling Russia's finances could soon be introduced in Congress by Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal. Stubb, who communicates regularly with Graham, noted that the success of any sanctions would depend on perceived western unity in response to Putin's actions, stressing that direct European contacts with Putin should be avoided to present a strong stance.
If we were to pull it together, we could say that Zelenskyy is patient and President Trump is starting to be impatient, but in the right direction, that is, towards Russia.
Threatening sanctions and not implementing them would not cause a credibility problem as long as the west was making Putin react.
