Wizards' Trae Young out with injuries; no timetable for return
""Yeah, he obviously got the contusion the other night, but he's also been dealing with a little bit of back pain, so we obviously did a little bit of imaging.""
""The back has been irritated. Don't have a timeline on any of that stuff yet, but obviously, he's out tonight.""
Trae Young is sidelined indefinitely due to a right quadriceps contusion and lower back irritation. The injuries occurred during a recent game against Golden State. Coach Brian Keefe confirmed that imaging was done, but there is no timeline for Young's return. Both injuries are being treated conservatively and do not require surgery. Since joining the Wizards, Young has played five games, averaging 15.2 points and 6.2 assists. The team is currently on a 14-game losing streak.
