Work from home, avoid air travel to deal with higher energy prices, IEA says

The IEA announced a record release of oil from strategic stockpiles to address rising energy prices caused by the US-Israel war with Iran. Proposals to ease consumer pain include working from home, lowering highway speed limits, and avoiding air travel. IEA executive director Fatih Birol emphasized the importance of international energy diplomacy and outlined immediate measures for governments, businesses, and households to mitigate the crisis's impact. The IEA's release includes 400 million barrels of oil, primarily from the US, to combat the surge in global crude prices.
