BAAN O+O is a vacation home in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, uniquely designed to respect the natural landscape of Khao Yai. The house is elevated to minimize land alteration while offering ample natural views through its cantilevered design. This modern home features an open underfloor area that serves as a living space promoting ventilation. Its steel structure, emphasizing transparency and lightness, allows for large glass walls that connect the living spaces directly with the surrounding nature, enhancing comfort and the living experience.
The design of BAAN O+O harmonizes with the natural landscape, providing an elevated yet minimalist structure that offers unobstructed views while minimizing land impact.
The steel frame allows for a striking cantilevered design, which combines modern aesthetics with strong engineering to create a floating visual effect.
A modern interpretation of 'tai thun,' the underfloor space is an outdoor living area that promotes passive ventilation, enhancing comfort and relaxation.
