At the risk of upsetting some Leeds fans, I think they'll do very well to keep Ampadu this summer. So consistent. Leeds United need to keep their best players if they want to establish themselves as regulars in the Premier League. They cannot afford to sell one of their best players in the summer. Ampadu has been an indispensable asset for them and Leeds must do everything in their power to convince him to stay at the club.

We have time. The club knows exactly what I'm thinking. I need some time to think; that's clear on both sides. The most important thing is to know what we want to do this season. I don't want to talk about offers or the future. La Liga is what matters. Then we can talk.

John Carlson left Thursday night's game between the Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators with a lower-body injury. Carlson departed after taking just nine shifts in the first period, not returning for the rest of the Capitals' 4-2 victory. Manchester United are keen to resume talks with midfielder Kobbie Mainoo over a new contract that would bring him in line with his fellow senior squad members. Mainoo's current contract expires in 2027, although there is an option to extend that by a further year. There have been no discussions yet and it remains to be seen how open Mainoo is to signing a new deal given his well-publicised desire to leave United on loan last summer.

A big reason why the Dolphins have won three in a row and four of their past five games is because Achane, who rushed for 132 yards on 22 carries against the Saints, took over the offense in the absence of Hill and tight end Darren Waller, who return to the lineup Sunday. That's right. Achane carried the Miami offense better than either quarterback Tua Tagovailoa or wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

We know Man Utd could probably do with a midfield signing or two in the near future, but Garner probably isn't a name most fans would have had high up on their wish lists. I'm sure it's (handing Mainoo a new contract) something that Man United would definitely be interested in doing. They've been in talks with Mainoo for a while now over a new contract. Suggestions are now that contract talks have been put on hold because of his uncertain future at Old Trafford. We know Mainoo was interested in a move away in the summer window as he knew he wasn't going to be playing in Ruben Amorim's side.

A new deal for Van de Ven is emerging as one of Tottenham's priorities under Vinai Venkatesham's reign, and talks have already been taking place since the summer. But this is both ways, Van de Ven is very happy at Tottenham, he has settled in brilliantly since he arrived, having now emerged as one of the Premier League's best, and his partnership with Cristian Romero is on par with anything in the game.

I'm sure there will be talks held between Robertson and Liverpool to see if they can try and sort out a new contract, but the longer it drags on, there's no new deal agreed. It obviously opens up to the possibility that he could potentially sign a pre-contract in January or leave on a free transfer next summer, bit like his close mate Trent Alexander-Arnold did when he got the opportunity to move to Real Madrid.

Lucas Digne, 32, plans to hold contract talks with Aston Villa soon, seeking to extend his stay at the club despite being one of the higher earners.
