But those well-loved Frapps aren't the only cool-kids on the java block. The much smaller Dutch Bros drive-thru coffee chain knows a thing or two about coffee lovers and what they crave, including its Blended Freeze drinks, the toe-to-toe competitors with Starbucks Frappuccinos.

The banana bread chocolate milk is a highly popular spin on a Dutch Bros iced coffee drink, the banana bread iced latte. Some customers have asked for this secret menu item by name, and the staff understood what they wanted, but to make it extra clear, order an iced chocolate milk with banana and hazelnut syrups and a banana-flavored soft top.

As the third-largest coffee shop in the U.S. behind Still, Dutch Bros is Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) and Dunkin Brands, Dutch Bros has 950 stores in 18 states. But the company trails its rivals by a significant margin. In comparison, Dunkin has over 9,000 locations in the U.S. and over 13,000 globally. Starbucks is even bigger, with almost 16,500 locations domestically and another 12,600 or so in international markets.

Shares of Dutch Bros lost 6.42% over the past month, continuing a slide that's seen the coffee retailer's stock fall by 36.48% since its year-to-date high Feb. 18. Still, over the past year, BROS is up 56.28%. When it reported second-quarter results, Dutch Bros announced EPS of 26 cents, beating estimates of 18 cents, and quarterly revenue of $415.81 million, beating analysts' expectations of $403.24 million. BROS' earnings are expected to grow by 38.60% in 2026, from 57 cents to 79 cents per share.

The caramel pumpkin brûlée boasts a pumpkin and salted caramel filling, covered with a layer of soft top, a decadent pumpkin drizzle, and raw sugar sprinkles. It can be enjoyed iced or hot, as a breve, latte, frozen, or chai. The cookie butter latte is made with cookie butter, a swirl of cookie butter drizzle with a soft top, and even more cookie butter drizzle to top it off. It can be enjoyed as a latte, frozen, or as a chai.

I enjoyed the buttery profile of caramel, but other iced espresso libations are more captivating for the price from Dutch Bros.
