A young woman was sexually assaulted next to the ticket barriers at Farringdon station just before 10pm on June 12. The British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man who may have information regarding the incident. The assault occurred while the woman, in her early 20s, was standing with a friend. In an attempt to aid the investigation, BTP is urging anyone who recognizes the individual in the CCTV image to come forward.

Farringdon station has been evacuated due to a fire alarm, causing significant disruption with large crowds outside as services on the Elizabeth line and Thameslink are delayed.
