Prosecutors in Berlin said they have arrested three suspected Hamas operatives. The suspects were preparing attacks on Israeli and Jewish institutions in Germany, authorities said. Large crowds waved Palestinian flags and banners reading "Free Palestine" and "Food and water are human rights" as they marched from Berlin's town hall. "Today we can send a signal that the majority, who are against Israel's policies and against this genocide, are visible on the streets and can take action," Dustin Hirschfeld, who took part in the "Together for Gaza" demonstration, told AFP. The protesters finished their march at Berlin's Victory Column monument, the site of a rally and concert by rappers and hip hop artists.
"We want to reach an agreement with Syria this year and initially deport criminals, followed later by those without legal residence," Dobrindt said in remarks published in the regional Rheinische Post newspaper. "It is important to distinguish between people who are well integrated and working, and those without asylum rights who rely on social benefits," he continued, adding that talks would begin "shortly."

In Kenya, over 700,000 refugees, many from Somalia, have been directly affected by the US cuts to the World Food Program. The 35-year-old minister said that they had only received a third of the necessary food rations, leading to a dramatic increase of hunger and malnutrition. "Tensions are growing, many people have to flee, the region is becoming increasingly destabilized," she warned. "This is unacceptable in human terms and is also not in Germany's security interests."
"It's not easy to defend a lot of long balls and not easy to defend a lot of second balls, so I'm happy with the result," Nagelsmann told BBC Sport NI. "It's not that easy when every set piece and ball that's free on the pitch they play a long ball and attack with 10 players with the second ball. "There are always a lot of players in our own red zone. It's not brilliant to watch, this way of soccer, but it's effective and it's not that easy to defend it. "I think we had 10 or 12 set-pieces to defend, and we only conceded one goal. It's really a strength of the Northern Ireland team. It's not that easy - we have better players but it's not that easy to defend this way of playing soccer."
Although the degree of Israel's criminal behavior is still being debated, the majority of observers no longer dispute that the Israeli military campaign in Gaza, launched after the October 2023 attack on Israel by the Hamas militant group, has resulted in violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza.

"Trans-fascism" and "parasites of society" these were the kinds of phrases that the right-wing extremist who now identifies as Marla-Svenja Liebich used for decades as a leader of the "Blood and Honor" neo-Nazi group. In 2023, Liebich was found guilty of incitement to racial hatred and defamation, amongst other crimes. Last year, having exhausted all legal avenues to avoid prison, she was sentenced to serve 18 months in jail.
EY recorded roughly 51,500 lost car industry jobs in the space of a year, equating to 6.7% of the sector's total workforce. This made up almost half of the 114,000 industrial jobs lost in the same time period. The phenomenon also appears to be accelerating: Since 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, roughly 112,000 carmaking jobs have been lost in Germany
