TQL presented Walsh with an impossible choice - work at the office and put additional strain on her child, or take an unpaid leave of absence and lose the income and health insurance she needed. The jury found that TQL's denial of that reasonable request led to the death of her daughter.

Walsh's doctor instructed her to be on modified bed rest, work from home and limit her activity, to protect the pregnancy. Four days after the procedure, which took place on Feb. 11, 2021, Walsh went to TQL's offices and asked to work from home, so she could follow her doctor's instructions. But Walsh's request to work remotely was not granted.

I attended A&E multiple times complaining of pain, tachycardia (increased heart rate), sickness - I couldn't keep anything down... but they didn't listen. Angel-Kay Mason fell pregnant with her daughter in June 2022 aged 19. Due to a family history of complex pregnancies, she says she was deemed to be high-risk but says she was not referred to a consultant and did not receive any extra scans.

I was already a mother of three when I lay back for my 10-week ultrasound in 2019. At first, seeing the gel on my stomach and the flickering black and white image on screen was familiar and soothing. Then I saw the look on the sonographer's face. She dropped the probe and ran out of the room without a word.
