Hegseth's claims about media coverage of U.S. strikes on Iran were addressed by Anderson Cooper, who demonstrated CNN had accurately reported on the preliminary nature of intelligence.

Watters accused CNN of using a leaked Pentagon report to promote the idea that U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear sites were ineffective, particularly at Fordow.

"The fact that the whole group disappeared is basically throwing back the program by a number of years, by quite a number of years," Ambassador Joshua Zarka said.

"What is important here is that a major threat has been eliminated, and I can only repeat that this is good news for the Middle East, but also for Europe."

Taking out both sites is a critical goal for Israel.
