Jayden Daniels was supposedly healthy enough to go back into the game against the Minnesota Vikings despite taking a hard fall on his injured elbow. Just a few short days later, he was ruled out of the Washington Commanders' trip to the New York Giants in Week 15. It's unlikely that Daniels' issue has worsened, and he is still practicing in a limited capacity.
For the first time since dislocating his elbow in Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks, the No. 2 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft was listed as a full participant in practice on Thursday. This means he took all the first-team reps and had the same workload as everyone else. Simply put, the Commanders felt comfortable enough to ramp up his involvement before potentially getting him back into the lineup at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Daniels was still in the game during a blowout versus the Seahawks, midway through the fourth quarter. He fell awkwardly after striving to get into the end zone, and the concern was immediate. Anyone fortunate enough not to see the replay should keep it that way; it was a gruesome fall that saw a cast immediately being placed on the signal-caller's left arm.
