KDDI will subscribe to 28,536,516 newly issued ordinary shares of Coincheck Group at $2.28 per share. The transaction is expected to close in June 2026. As part of the agreement, KDDI gains the right to nominate one non-executive director to Coincheck Group's board at the next Annual General Meeting, anticipated in September 2026. KDDI also receives registration rights for the acquired shares.

The structure pairs $150 million of equity from GTIS investment vehicles with $50 million from Hovnanian, or 25% of the equity capital. Total build-out costs are projected at about $545 million, supporting an estimated $617 million in home value.

Two South Carolina-based Christie's International Real Estate affiliates are teaming up to form a joint venture and launch the brand's first Charleston, S.C.-based operation. The firm announced the launch of IndigoOak Christie's International Real Estate on Thursday. The new affiliate is the result of a joint venture between The Litchfield Company, based in Pawleys Island, and the Greenville-based Blackstream International.

The deal was announced during Keir Starmer's official visit to China, with Octopus founder and chief executive Greg Jackson joining the UK business delegation in Beijing. The new venture, called Bitong Energy, will combine PCG Power's position as one of China's fastest-growing investors and solutions providers in the commercial and industrial renewable energy sector with Octopus' proprietary software and expertise in green energy trading and optimisation.

Under the agreement, Lands' End contributes its intellectual property, including trademarks and existing license agreements, to a new 50/50 joint venture. WHP Global will pay $300 million in cash for a 50% controlling stake. Lands' End will then enter a long-term license agreement with the JV to operate its core direct-to-consumer and B2B businesses, with the license exclusive for core products and non-exclusive for other categories.

As per the press release, the TCL-led venture will "leverage Sony's high-quality picture and audio technology, brand value and operational expertise" combined with "TCL's advanced display technology, global scale advantages, industrial footprint, end-to-end cost efficiency". Furthermore, the products will still carry Sony and Bravia branding. The new joint venture is set to operate globally, with the binding agreement set to be finalized by the end of March.

Four years ago, Ford and South Korean battery maker SK On struck a deal to form a joint venture and spend $11.4 billion to build factories in Tennessee and Kentucky that would produce batteries for the next generation of electric F-Series trucks. The factories live on; the joint venture will not. SK On, a subsidiary of SK Innovation, said Thursday it reached an agreement with Ford to end the joint venture.

Wanka Online Inc. has announced a capital increase in its joint venture, Suzhou Jinglan Cloud Technology Co., Ltd., with the introduction of a new investor, Suzhou Huanxiu Lake Xincheng Phase II Industrial Investment Fund. This capital increase, amounting to RMB60.0 million, aims to expand the joint venture's mobile advertising business and support its rapid growth.
