Adrien Truffert has form for hitting the ground running. At Rennes, the club he joined at 13 and spent a decade at until leaving for Bournemouth in the summer, his debut arrived as a substitute against Monaco and culminated in him teeing up the equaliser with a wicked left-foot cross and then scoring a stoppage-time winner. Aged 18, Truffert sent a shot underneath Benjamin Lecomte, the opposition goalkeeper who visits Bournemouth with Fulham on Friday.

Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento is set to be out for between six and eight weeks after suffering a knee injury in Sunday's defeat by Arsenal. The full-back will miss England's internationals against Wales on 9 October and Latvia on 14 October, as well as the World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania next month. Livramento was stretchered off the field after landing awkwardly in his side's 2-1 defeat at St James' Park.

Leeds are already thinking about possible additions that they can make to Daniel Farke's squad in the January transfer window, and left-back is an area that could be addressed. Gabriel Gudmundsson, who joined in the summer from Lille, has had a tough start to life in the Premier League, and competition could be brought in mid-season. Tottenham Hotspur are exploring a move for the Sunderland defender Dennis Cirkin when the transfer window reopens in January, as per TBR. They are looking to add to the homegrown quota at the club, and bringing the 23-year-old back to the club would be ideal for them. Cirkin came through the ranks at Tottenham, and he has done quite well for Sunderland. Tottenham have tried to sign Cirkin in the past as well.
