Aleksei Averchenko swam 26.2 miles on Wednesday to celebrate turning 33 while raising money for the First Youth Triathlon Team. His 12-hour swim began at 6 a.m. Swimming that distance is a challenge for most athletes, but Averchenko faced an added hurdle. He has lived with a disability since a car hit him while he was biking in 2023.
The automated parking system uses a robotic arm to plug in a Level 2 charging cable. When the car finishes charging, the robotic arm unplugs the cable, and the EV is moved to another parking spot automatically. About a decade ago, Tesla promised a robotic arm that would automatically plug in an EV for overnight charging. A Menlo Park resident was on his way to work this morning when a truck rammed into his yard, he told the Post. The truck's driver had a medical emergency and drove into the fences of three homes, stopping at his yard at 125 Oak Court at 10:25 a.m., Matt Burr, the "neighborhood pizza guy," said. Russian businessman Vitaly Yusufov wants to develop the 7-acre Sunset property at 80 Willow Road, building 665 units of housing and towers as high as 458 feet. While such a proposal would normally violate city building codes, the city didn't turn in its housing plan to the state on time.
