If you approach law enforcement with a gun, there is a high likelihood they will be legally justified in shooting you. Don't do it! Video showed Pretti approach ICE with his phone in hand not a gun so he could record their actions. Pretti's family said he had a lawful permit to carry a concealed handgun in Minnesota, which ICE agents were seen on video removing from his person when tackling Pretti to the ground.
The NBA has postponed Saturday's game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors in Minneapolis amid growing unrest after a Saturday morning confrontation with federal officials ended in a man being shot and killed. In a statement, the NBA said the game was postponed "to prioritize the safety and security of the Minneapolis community." The league intends to play the game Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET.

DHS posted a photo of a gun they say the man was brandishing when ICE shot him in self-defense. A 51-year-old man has been shot dead by federal officers in the US city of Minneapolis, US media reported on Saturday. The shooting was first made public by Minnesota state Governor Tim Walz before the death was reported. The reports of the shooting come amid ongoing protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE's) anti-migrant operations, carried out at the behest of the Trump administration. Those protests were in large part spurred on by the fatal shooting of Renee Good, the 37-year-old mother of three, by an ICE agent on January 7.
When George Floyd was murdered by a police officer in Minneapolis, the nation's immediate reaction was one of horror. That included Republican commentators, who expressed their shock at the slow murder of Floyd by suffocation, agreeing his treatment was both brutal and excessive. President Donald Trump called Floyd's killing "sickening" and "revolting." There were stray voices who immediately blamed Floyd for his own murder-a preview of the position the MAGA commentariat would eventually adopt-but at least in the beginning, Republicans in power reacted to a heinous murder caught on camera with disapproval.
Video shows bystanders watching (and heckling) federal agents. A truck with flashing lights pulls up; the driver and a second agent jump out and rapidly approach a burgundy SUV blocking the road, and the driver appears to tell a woman to get out of her car. The SUV reverses briefly, then starts to move forward. A third officer then fires several shots. The car veers away before crashing.
"You've been amazed by his quick wit, awed by his persistence, and charmed by his earnestness. If you've been watching the news, you've seen his grief-stricken face and heard, despite his shock, Weston's account of the horrific details during the mass at Annunciation Church. And in spite of everything, this 10-year-old boy was able to express appreciation for his friends and pray for their recovery."
Oasis paid tribute to the victims of the Annunciation Church and School in Minneapolis by dedicating the band's performance of "Live Forever" in their honor. "I want to dedicate this next tune to the kiddies in Minneapolis. 'Live Forever,'" Liam Gallagher declared during the band's concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday night.
I have to note that the president even weighed in on this book. Writing on Truth Social quote Number one New York Times best selling author Trey Gowdy has just written a great new novel, an in depth study of justice and grief. And he calls you a political pro and a very good and talented guy. He says get his new book today. What does that feel like to have the president also acknowledge the importance of what's in this book, justice and grief?
