NBC announced Monday that the network will broadcast part of its pregame show before Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks from the island that used to be a site of a maximum security federal prison. The island has turned into a popular museum where more than 1 million visitors come each year.

NBC, Peacock, and other Universal-owned cable channels are the main destination for all Winter Olympics broadcasts. NBC will air events live in the afternoon and weekend mornings (on U.S. time schedules) while Peacock will stream the games 24/7. For desktop or mobile phone viewing, there's also NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app, which users can access with their cable logins.

We might still be in the midst of the playoffs, but that doesn't mean we can't plan ahead for Super Bowl LX. For those of you who just can't with Roman numerals, thats Super Bowl 60, and it's taking place this year at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA, on February 8, starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. Like all other Sunday Night Football games this season, the championship game will be broadcast on Super Bowl Sunday on NBC, and will stream live on Peacock.

Heading into summer means first closing the book on yet another network TV season, which still follows the fall-spring slot on the calendar.

NBCUniversal's offer to MLB for a broadcast package is lower than ESPN’s, focusing solely on regular season and playoff games without international and radio rights.
