Report: Arsenal star set for huge pay rise as contract talks expected to accelerate

Arsenal are reportedly now expected to ramp up contract talks with Bukayo Saka after officially announcing William Saliba's new deal. The Gunners will be delighted with some of their recent work, with sporting director Andrea Berta managing to tie down other star names such as Gabriel Magalhaes, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri as well. Saliba was another important deal to get done, and Saka should be next, with the England international likely set to earn a big pay rise, according to talkSPORT. The report suggests Saka could be set to earn over 250,000 a week, moving him closer to being one of the north London club's highest earners. According to FourFourTwo, Saka currently earns 195,000 a week, so it could be a significant bump up in his wages.

Daily Schmankerl: Is Bayern Munich hesitant to offer Harry Kane a raise?; Liverpool target Dayot Upamecano wants big release clause in new deal; Eric Dier looks back at Bayern; Manchester United wants FC Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong; and MORE!

Harry Kane's future is a big topic here in Munich. I think Kane is in the form of his life. His education at Bayern Munich has undoubtedly helped. Max Eberl, the head of sport, already said he's improved at Bayern Munich. He was a big star before he came to the Allianz Arena, of course, but now he's playing a little bit more like a winner. You know, this is the "siegermentalität" in Germany, the DNA of Bayern Munich. He's scoring and scoring and scoring.

Revealed: European giants 'inquired over Sterling on deadline day'

The England international has two years left on his contract at Chelsea, but his future at the club is unclear after Enzo Maresca confirmed that the forward is not part of his plans this season. Sterling last featured for the Blues in May 2024, spending last season on loan at Arsenal. But the 30-year-old failed to make a case for his permanent move to the Emirates at the end of the last campaign, after scoring just once and registering a further five assists.
