A woman has died following a medical incident at a bus stop on Plumstead High Street, with emergency services responding shortly after the report.

The fire broke out in a mid-terraced property of two floors in Nithdale Road just before 1.50am today (April 14). Crews rescued a woman from the property, however, she was pronounced dead shortly after.

A spokesperson for the Five Rivers Bar Grill & Restaurant expressed regret over the closure, stating, 'We regret to inform our valued customers that our establishment is currently closed due to an ongoing dispute with the building landlords regarding the structural integrity and safety of the building.' The management reassured customers that they are monitoring the situation with support from local authorities.
