Kirk has expressed his desire to explore other opportunities within the National Hockey League, and we respect and support his decision. We thank Kirk for his dedication, professionalism, and the many contributions he made during his three years with our organization.
McCann has been a steady performer throughout his NHL career so far, especially since the Kraken joined the league. In the past four seasons, he has recorded at least 50 points, solidifying himself as a reliable player on the scoresheet for them. McCann has scored at least 20 goals in the past four seasons, which is a factor in why he is currently the Kraken's franchise all-time goal leader (132).
Kaprizov has eclipsed his points prop bet in each game he's played with a set points prop. Kaprizov has put up a point in 38 games this season while posting 16 multiple-point games. In 23 of 52 games this season, Kaprizov has scored - and four times he scored multiple goals. For the season, Kaprizov has scored 27 goals, via 180 shots (converting 15.0%). While on the power play, he has 56 shots and 10 goals.
In a season where the Maple Leafs' offence has been up and down, the Leafs have gotten reliable scoring game in and game out from someone you may not expect. Oliver Ekman-Larsson has been a name that has stuck out to many. The Swedish defenceman sits fifth in Maple Leafs scoring this season with 28 points in 47 games. This finds Ekman-Larsson within the top 25 in the NHL.
Nikolaj Ehlers notched a hat trick and added an assist; Taylor Hall scored twice; and Mark Jankowski lit the lamp and had a pair of helpers in the rout. Andrei Svechnikov, Eric Robinson and Alexander Nikishin also lit the lamp for the Hurricanes, who went 4-for-5 on the power play to empathetically ended a two-game losing streak.
Like the rest of his teammates, the winger has found his stride since the holiday break, and it's come just in time for his return to Utah. Prior to joining the Maple Leafs, Maccelli spent the first four seasons of his NHL career with the Arizona Coyotes now turned Utah Mammoth organization. Suffice it is to say, he should have plenty in the tank for his first game back at Delta Center.
Nick Robertson made the most of an expanded role in the Toronto Maple Leafs' recent 4-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils, continuing a stretch of strong play that is becoming harder to overlook. Given increased ice time in the win, Robertson again delivered effective, consistent play, reinforcing the idea that he has earned an expanded role as coach Craig Berube evaluates his lineup options.
It was a good win before the break. We went with a positive attitude into the break. Those days off are important, for sure. It's a little reset that can bring some energy tonight. We have to do a lot of the same things we did in the last game.
Those are never fun decisions to make or fun days. I want to make it clear that the decision of yesterday is not putting the blame solely at Marc Savard's feet. That is just totally incorrect. We have gone through a stretch here, specifically on the power play if we look at that area. Marc had a big role in that in terms of his responsibilities, and you look at all areas of your team all of the time.
