Los Angeles detectives are retracing the final days of a 14-year-old missing girl whose decomposing body was found inside the trunk of singer D4vd's Tesla. Celeste Rivas was reported missing in 2024 from the Inland Empire, and her whereabouts since then remain a mystery. Her severely decomposed body was found in a vehicle at Hollywood Tow on Sept. 8 after it was impounded. Someone noticed a foul odor coming from the vehicle.

A bicycle stop early Thursday led to the arrest of a man and the recovery of drugs and cash, police said. The 46-year-old man was stopped by officers about 4:20 a.m. Thursday while riding a bicycle near his home in the 1600 block of Saint Lawrence Way for vehicle code section violations, including not stopping for a red light and having no lights on his bicycle, police Corporal Allan Roan said.

SAN PABLO - Two people, one of them a 16-year-old high school student, were arrested Tuesday after gunfire that occurred about a block from an elementary school, police said. The teen that police arrested was a student at Richmond High, according to a statement from police spokesperson Peggy Chou. She added that the other person arrested was 22-year-old man. Officers responded about 9:40 a.m. to the area of 20th Street and Sanford Avenue, near Downer Elementary School.

ANTIOCH Police on Tuesday arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend in Antioch. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Vallejo resident Jesus Soto, was taken into custody in Stockton, Antioch police Lt. William Whitaker said in a news release. The arrest came a day after authorities served a search warrant at a home in Vallejo. Evidence related to the fatal shooting was collected from the home and a vehicle, Whitaker said.
