According to court records, the chef told Dedham officers she and Diggs argued about money he owed her for her work. During the Dec. 2 encounter at his home, she said, he "smacked her across the face" and then "tried to choke her using the crook of his elbow around her neck," leaving her feeling short of breath.
Stefon Diggs was standing out of bounds and looking in the other direction when Seattle's Josh Jobe put both hands on the Patriots' receiver's chest and shoved him to the ground. Jobe looked back as he walked away. Diggs got up and and ran over to Jobe. Jobe grabbed Diggs with both hands as Diggs grabbed him by the facemask. Jobe also hit Diggs's facemask. Mack Hollins attempted to break the scuffle up, and Kayshon Boutte put his arms around Diggs as they walked away.
"I don't think about it too much because it's an individual accolade, and I know this is a team sport. I just know that it [would] help my case a little bit. I always wanted that, though," Diggs told reporters this week when asked about his desire to become a Hall of Famer. "I'm never gonna shun or run away from wanting to be a Hall of Famer or wanting to be a guy that played this game and be respected, so I don't run from that. But I know this would help your case a little bit."
"I don't think we buy into what everyone else [says], Everybody that comes into work each and every day here ain't over here saying we got a Cinderella story. Like, nah, we come in and work hard, we do what we are supposed to-and we try our best on Sundays. It's not too much of a story. Everybody else can buy into that narrative. For us, we try to be a good football team, a well-coached football team, and do the right things consistently."
"Stef is one of the best teammates I've ever had in my career, in my life," Stroud said. "He's been amazing to my life, not just on the field but off as well. I think he's super teammate oriented. He wants to be around the guys. He wants to do stuff for the guys. He wants to be one of the captains in the room."
The New England Patriots are aware of the accusations that have been made regarding Stefon Diggs. Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations. We support Stefon. We will continue to gather information and will cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL as necessary. Out of respect for all parties involved, and given that this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.
