Wyatt Russell, who shares the role of Colonel Lee Shaw with his real-life father, Kurt Russell, is striking off on his own. The yet untitled project will follow his adventures in the '80s, splicing and old-school conflict with the heady sci-fi worldbuilding that brought "Titans" like Godzilla and Kong into the present day. Per the official synopsis, Shaw will go behind enemy lines to stop Soviet forces from unleashing "a horrific new Titan" on U.S. soil.

Among the solar system's hundreds of known moons, few are as enticing as the handful that scientists believe have a global ocean lurking below their crusty surface. But two of these hidden oceans may not be as promising as scientists have hoped, leaving new questions for those interested in the search for life beyond Earth. Those results come from unrelated research papers, both of which were published on December 17.

"The Dragonfly team is killing it," said Bobby Braun, who is head of APL's Space Exploration Sector, in an interview. "Probably the best part of my day is watching that team hit their milestones." Both the spacecraft's hardware and software are progressing well, he said. Braun expressed confidence that the spacecraft is "on track" for a July 2028 launch date on a Falcon Heavy rocket. NASA confirmed this in a new update this week.
