An NHL source confirmed ESPN's initial report on the league's decision to scrap the event planned prior to the Winter Games in Italy. While the NHL had planned a marquee event for UBS Arena prior to sending its players to the Olympics, it never officially announced the event's full format. Instead, UBS Arena will host an All-Star weekend from Feb. 5-7, 2027.

The MTV VMAs rocked UBS Arena with a lineup of stellar performances, alongside honoring major contributions in music. This year's awards show marks the seventh time that the event has taken place in New York, with the VMAs coming to UBS Arena for the first time last year. The Long Island arena set the stage for an electrifying show, hosted by LL Cool J. Several celebrities were spotted on the red carpet, including Doja Cat, Jessica Simpson, Tate McRae, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, Tyla, Ashlee Simpson, KATSEYE, GloRilla, Yungblud, Nikki Glaser, Lenny Kravitz, Alix Earle, and Ice Spice.
