Brown was on it with six strikeouts and only three runners reaching base in four innings. Brown demonstrated again on Saturday that he has nasty stuff if he can control it. It's definitely worth another look at the big league level this season.

Pete Alonso bailed out an unreliable bullpen with a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift New York to a 5-2 victory on Sunday afternoon at Citi Field. The win snaps a heinous eight-game losing streak that saw the Mets (77-73) temporarily fall out of a playoff spot, though Sunday's result temporarily gives them a one-game lead over the San Francisco Giants for the third and final National League Wild Card spot.
Ohtani was originally scheduled to pitch Wednesday but did not do so because of feeling under the weather. The Dodgers initially planned on Ohtani starting at some point this weekend before settling on delaying him until their home series against the Colorado Rockies. But Glasnow's injury required another pivot, and Ohtani responded with a scoreless effort. Some of that was thanks to Anthony Banda stranding the runner he inherited at third base with two outs in the fourth inning.
Willy Adames held his helmet above his head as he stood near home plate and acknowledged the ovation he was given by Milwaukee Brewers fans at American Family Field. He then gave Brewers catcher and former teammate William Contreras a hug and nodded in the direction of starting pitcher Jose Quintana. Adames then took the first pitch he saw from Quintana and launched it 419 feet over the left field wall,
Down 1-0 going to the bottom of the ninth inning, Syracuse rallied. With one out, David Villar singled. That set the table for Luis De Los Santos, who worked a full count and hit a 416-foot blast over the wall in right-center field to deliver the Mets a 2-1 win.
