A cold front will bring windy conditions and cooler temperatures to Staten Island on Wednesday, with wind gusts up to 25 mph and clearing skies by midday. The National Weather Service forecasts a quick transition from morning showers to mostly sunny conditions, with daytime temperatures in the lower 60s. The morning will start with scattered rain and potential thunderstorms, particularly in eastern areas, before the cold front moves through.

Since the equinox on September 22nd, and the start of astronomical autumn, France has shivered in an unseasonably cold spell with temperatures about 5C below normal for the time of year. "The succession of cool, grey days in September is unusual," national forecaster Météo France said in a statement. The lack of sunshine is also part of what makes this situation remarkable."

Saturday will be mostly overcast with a likelihood of light rain, beginning with a 50% chance of precipitation and temperatures ranging from 9C to 17C.
