Bayern Munich is preparing for a significant match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup, recognizing PSG as a powerful team and current Champions League holders. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen regards PSG as favorites yet believes Bayern can win with a strong performance. Midfielder Joshua Kimmich highlights the intense matchup, recalling past encounters and the 2020 Champions League final. Aleksandar Pavlović emphasizes the need for maximum effort and confidence heading into the game, noting favorable conditions. The match is positioned as a thrilling confrontation filled with competitive spirit.
"Paris are Champions League winners, certainly currently the best team in Europe. I would call Paris the favourites, but if we do well, we have a chance to win," Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen told Sky.
"Paris have top players in every position. They can score goals from every position. Both teams play with a lot of intensity. If I were neutral, I'd be on my couch watching this game," Kimmich stated.
"We watched a few scenes from the Champions League game against PSG this season. The coach told us to just play our game and give more than 100% - and that's how we'll approach the game," Pavlović said.
"This is the most exciting and combative matchup of the tournament to date and should be filled with fireworks from both squads."
