"Deputies found the victim identified as a 42-year-old man suffering from significant head injuries just before midnight Monday at the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority's Gish Light Rail Station, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said the victim had been severely beaten. The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he remained in critical condition Wednesday."
"Detectives identified the suspect as Brandon Fryshaw, who was arrested within hours of the incident and booked into Santa Clara County jail, the sheriff's office said. Fryshaw is being held without bail at the Main Jail in San Jose, according to jail records. Detectives believe Fryshaw may be connected to a separate assault involving an unhoused person at the St. James Light Rail Station in late September, the sheriff's office said."
