Two men are wanted for a fatal home-invasion robbery in East Oakland that killed education-equality advocate Dirk Tillotson on Oct. 1, 2021. The Oakland Police Department released photos and physical descriptions of the suspects, both described as 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, one thin and one medium build, wearing hooded sweatshirts and light or dark pants. The robbery occurred around 11:30 p.m. on the 2600 block of Monticello Avenue; Tillotson was fatally shot when he confronted the suspects and his wife, Amina, was wounded but survived.
