"Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of two bodies at a domestic residence in Finglas, Dublin, on Saturday, 27th September 2025. Gardaí and emergency services were called to a residence in the Cappagh area shortly before 8:00pm. The bodies of the deceased, an adult male and a female child, remain at the scene. The location has been preserved for forensic examination by the Garda Technical Bureau."
"Detectives are treating the death of the young girl, who is six years old, as suspicious and are probing whether foul play was involved. However, gardaí have said that the results of post-mortem examination will determine the course of their investigation. Investigators are keeping an open mind in relation to the discovery of the two bodies but at this stage do not suspect third-party involvement, with no signs of a break-in at the property."
