Jean Rios, 19, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest near 64th Road and Grand Central Parkway in Forest Hills at about 7:40 p.m. Sunday. Emergency responders transported Rios to New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz appeared at the scene as police cordoned off a section of the road with blue and yellow caution tape. The NYPD responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot at the location. No arrests have been made. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses.
