Driver arrested after crashing into San Jose food bank warehouse
Briefly

A man was arrested in San Jose on suspicion of hit-and-run and DUI after crashing into the Second Harvest of Silicon Valley food bank warehouse. The incident occurred late Wednesday night, and although the driver fled the scene, he was apprehended shortly thereafter. He sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized before facing multiple charges, including evading police. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among food bank staff, and operations continued normally, with no food lost during the incident.
No one inside the warehouse was injured, and the crash did not impact the food bank's operations, according to Second Harvest of Silicon Valley spokesperson Diane Baker Hayward.
The driver ran from the scene but was arrested a short time later. He was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries before being booked into Santa Clara County jail.
