Patrick Maughan, 53, and Owen Maughan, 27, have been charged with murder after a car crash on New Barn Road, Dartford, resulted in the death of four-year-old Peter Maughan. The incident also left Peter's father, Lovell Mahon, critically injured, along with charges against the men for attempting to harm Peter's sister, Annarica, and their mother, Hayley. The vehicular incident involving two pickup trucks occurred just before 9:30 PM. A trial is set for February 2 at Maidstone Crown Court, and both suspects remain in custody pending the hearing.
