Ubisoft's Red Storm studio has lost 105 employees and will cease game development. The studio will remain operational but will focus on the Snowdrop engine, IT work, and customer relations. Founded in 1996 by Tom Clancy and others, Red Storm developed many Tom Clancy titles and was acquired by Ubisoft in 2000. The studio's recent project, The Division: Heartland, was cancelled in 2024, leading to a shift towards support work without clear future game projects.
