Inside Bethenny Frankel's New Florida Home, Where an "Angry Marble" and Tulum-Inspired Serenity Steal the Show
""Think padded cell with some warmth," she told her designer. "I don't want any color. I don't want any personality. I'll add the personality on my own.""
""For me, walking into a home and understanding where you are is critical," she says."
""They were having a party-kids were swimming, someone was cooking this amazing Indian food. I wanted to sit down and eat. I was probably in there for five minutes, but it was enough to see it was a blank canvas.""
Bethenny Frankel relocated from Greenwich, Connecticut, to South Florida with a clear vision for a serene, contemporary home. The design brief called for muted tones and minimal color, with personality added later by the homeowner. A layered palette of natural materials and streamlined interpretations of classic Floridian design created warmth without ostentation. Sunlight fills a grand double-height living room, palm fronds frame windows, and a long linear pool defines the backyard. The property was discovered unexpectedly while touring the neighborhood; it was in foreclosure and felt like a blank canvas. Lauren Lindner of The LL Design studio served as principal designer.
