Georges House / he! architectuur
Briefly

Kaat and Thomas renovated their narrow home in Anderlecht to create a more open and interconnected living space for their family. The architects from hé! proposed demolishing old outbuildings and reconfiguring the house across five levels. They focused on maximizing natural light, particularly by creating diagonal sightlines between spaces, which allowed light from the front to flow deeper into the home. With a dedication to unfinished aesthetics, original materials were reused, resulting in a harmonious blend of the old and the new, highlighted by the striking terrace design.
Kaat and Thomas transformed their narrow house in Anderlecht by reorganizing living spaces, enhancing natural light, and preserving original materials, resulting in a functional and aesthetic home.
The living areas were interconnected downstairs, promoting a better flow and visibility throughout the house, and the newly designed kitchen and dining area are now filled with morning light.
Hé! architects emphasized an 'unfinished' aesthetic, skillfully repurposing existing structures and materials to create a harmonious balance between modernity and historical elements of the building.
The terrace built with reclaimed materials showcases a commitment to sustainability while also presenting a unique design, integrating nature with the architecture of the home.
