I'll let my go-to design inspiration Elsie De Wolfe take this one, she says: 'Do not lose sight of the fact that your windows are supposed to give you sunshine and air.'"
Basically, Ford's theory is, why block out the light coming through your windows if that's what they're there for? And a lot of people in the comments section of her post agree with this keeping windows curtain-free.
Now just because Ford usually forgoes window treatments, she understands that sometimes there is a need for them, especially when it comes to privacy.
