A party this Friday, May 8, will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the See's Candies location at Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo - one of the oldest shops in the iconic California chain that's now 105 years old. See's lovers are invited to meet the CEO, nibble on candy and share their See's memories and stories of their favorite pieces. (If you're a longtime Californian, and a particularly sentimental one, you may remember your parents' and grandparents' must-order candies.)

The Madison Hotel's restaurant, Rods Steak and Seafood Grille, features authentic train parlor cars, providing a unique dining experience that transports guests back in time.

The free, family-friendly celebration will feature a block party on Valencia Street, spanning 15th to 18th Streets, and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
