Funeral services for Trooper Kevin Trainor, the State Police trooper killed by a wrong-way driver in Lynnfield last week, were held Wednesday in Salem. Trainor, 30, grew up in Salem and lived most recently in Georgetown, according to his obituary. Officials have said Trainor was heading home after a shift when he responded to reports of a wrong-way driver on Route 1 in Lynnfield in the early morning hours of May 6.

Police are investigating the apparent homicide of Timothy O'Neil, 55, who was found with trauma on Lookout Terrace, Lynnfield, after a 911 call.
