MOBILE, Ala. - Georgia Tech guard Keylan Rutledge can't be missed during Senior Bowl practices. He's the mauler, the beast, the one pounding his opponents into dust. And he's attracted the interest of the Dolphins, a team wanting to get better in the trenches. On Tuesday, Rutledge (6-foot-3, 316 pounds), projected as a mid-round pick, had a few impressive displays of physicality and aggression - including one against SMU's Jeffrey M'Ba, and one against Texas A&M's Scooby Williams. He drove them both to the ground.

Offense is always where draft hype gets out of control first. Arm strength, body type, and "tools" start carrying more weight than what actually happened on Saturdays. Before long, we're projecting guys into stardom they haven't earned yet.

Biadasz is a solid player. He's been a dependable presence over the last two seasons, communicating pre-snap and effectively blending run blocking and pass protection. While the former Wisconsin standout isn't a world-beater by any stretch, the Commanders could do a lot worse. At 28, Biadasz has a lot of good football left. Dan Quinn knows him well from their time together on the Dallas Cowboys, and he made the lineman one of his most pressing targets in 2024 free agency.

New Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski is starting to build his new staff, and his first major hire is a reunion with offensive line coach Bill Callahan, per team reporter Tori McElhaney. Callahan, 69, is one of the most respected OL coaches in the NFL. He has coached for nine different teams, including Stefanski's Browns from 2020 to 2023. In 2024, he followed his son and then-Browns offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, to Tennessee when he was hired as the Titans' head coach.

The decision to trade for Michael Jerrell felt like throwing a water balloon on a house fire at the time, and that's essentially what it was. Jerrell was a healthy scratch nearly the entire season, minus one game against the Bills. According to PFF, he was the worst-performing Falcons offensive lineman this season, by at least 40 points. These grading systems are subjective, but that's a pretty wide margin.

Their team had just pulled off a nail-biting, walk-off 19-16 win over the Chicago Bears to end their 2025 season. But the two men addressed reporters not with tears of joy, but instead mourning a season that began with the highest of expectations and ended, at 9-8, with Detroit failing to reach the postseason for the first time since 2022.

Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana* The Raiders haven't drafted a QB in the first round since 2007 (JaMarcus Russell). They're in desperate need of a franchise quarterback after the Geno Smith trade didn't work out, and Mendoza provides a long-term solution for a franchise that has been looking for a QB since Derek Carr was released following the 2022 season. Mendoza's poise, toughness and accuracy stood out in his lone season with the Hoosiers, as he won the Heisman Trophy while leading them to a 14-0 record. With tight end Brock Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty, the Raiders have building blocks on offense that would help Mendoza thrive right away.

Across 948 snaps and 694 pass-blocking reps, he's been charged with only 23 pressures, six QB hits and one sack, that's very clean for a first-year right guard. His overall PFF grade sits at 72.0 with a 62.4 pass-block grade and strong run-block numbers at 77.4, which ranks seventh among all guards this year. He's already a plus people-mover in the run

That's what happens when you step in for a future Hall of Fame left tackle after the first snap of the game and maintain a seemingly unattainable level of play. The standard is the standard, Pleasants said in the raucous 49ers' locker room Sunday night after a 42-38 win over the Chicago Bears. Everybody's done a great job setting that standard. Kyle (Shanahan), Brock (Purdy), George (Kittle), Trent (Williams). They built this during this standard.

Herbert certainly felt the thunder against the Texans. The NFL's top defense recorded 26 pressures as it swarmed through the Chargers' offensive line en route to a 20-16 win Saturday. And Herbert saw the lightning, best represented by second-string defensive end Derek Barnett's back-to-back sacks to halt the Chargers' first drive of the second half. The latter of Barnett's takedowns - part of the Texans' five sacks and eight tackles for loss - came when he spun past Bobby Hart and brought down Herbert for a seven-yard loss.

Allegretti has been seldom seen in the starting lineup since getting benched after just two games. Most fans thought the free-agent signing in 2024 would be a prime salary-cap candidate during the offseason. That might still be the case, but he did his chances of seeing out the deal a tremendous amount of good versus the Cowboys on Christmas Day.

Tyler Guyton's second NFL season has come to an end. He has been placed on injured reserve, the Cowboys announced on Wednesday. Guyton last played in Week 12 and has been dealing with an ankle injury since. Having been eliminated from the playoffs, the Cowboys have only two games remaining in their season. IR stints at least four weeks, so today's move ensures Guyton will now turn his attention to 2026.
