For the Cowboys, home offers both comfort and pressure. Their lone victory came at AT&T Stadium, but the offense remains shorthanded. CeeDee Lamb is out, and Dak Prescott will again lean on tight end Jake Ferguson and a rotating cast of receivers while navigating a line missing key backups Tyler Booker and Cooper Beebe.
Cleveland Browns starting offensive tackle Dawand Jones suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's win over the Green Bay Packers that will require surgery, coach Kevin Stefanski announced Monday. Jones suffered the injury on the fourth play from scrimmage after a defender dove into his legs. Stefanski said the team would turn in the play to the NFL for review. League rules prohibit defenders from initiating a block below the waist against an offensive player who is outside the tight end box.
It won't be all about keeping Pro Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby quiet. Not when the Raiders have a hidden gem up front who's been causing havoc in the pocket through two games. Defensive tackle Jonah Laulu is a beefy and disruptive force for sub-package defenses in passing situations. He has the size and skills to wreck the Commanders' offensive line, which has been far from impressive so far.
TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles said Friday that star rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is questionable for Sunday's home opener hosting the New York Jets. Egbuka, the Bucs' 19th overall draft pick who is tied for a league-leading three touchdown catches in two games, missed two days of practice this week. He returned to practice Friday but was limited, Bowles said. "He's questionable right now," Bowles said. "We'll see Sunday morning. We gotta see how he's feeling after today."
The New York Jets' 2025 season has started with mixed results, with a tough loss in Week 2 to the Buffalo Bills, 30-10. While there were some positive moments in the opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the defeat exposed several issues that must be addressed if the Jets want to be competitive this season. Defensively, they struggled to contain the Bills' offense, allowing too many big plays and failing to capitalize on critical stops. They yielded 403 total yards, including 224 on the ground.
If you want to make a 49ers fan's blood pressure spike like the temperatures in the Bay this week, you don't talk about Brock Purdy's contract, Kyle Shanahans clock-management, or the team's errant trade for Trey Lance. No, you say two simple, powerful, and seemingly maddening words: Offensive line. It's the part of football that is, for most fans, a complete mystery a series of grunts and shoves and bodies piling up.
I thought we would be cleaner than we were. I thought we'd be much cleaner than we were," Campbell said. "And it wasn't as clean, but there again, you're talking about a few plays that were critical. But, like I told the team, these are so correctable. Everything that showed up is so correctable and we will hit it head on.
By giving Lucas a new deal, the Seahawks are making a bet on the health of his surgically repaired knee and a rare reinvestment in one of the key pieces of their offensive line. Lucas, 26, flashed dominance as a rookie in 2022 after the Seahawks drafted him in the third round. But he's been limited to 13 games over the past two seasons
