A driver was traveling east on 8th Street around 11:45 a.m. when they lost control of the vehicle and hit four pedestrians, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Norma Eisenman. Security videos from businesses in the area show the vehicle veering left across opposing lanes, hopping the curb and smashing through a vendor stand as a person dives out of the way.

CHELSEA, Manhattan (PIX11) - Multiple pedestrians were hit by a vehicle on 8th Avenue on Monday afternoon, according to the NYPD. The incident happened around 4 p.m. in front of 400 8th Avenue. Police say a box truck heading north on 8th Avenue hit a parked van, causing it to go onto the sidewalk. The vehicle struck a building as a result, according to the FDNY. At least 9 individuals were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
