Donny Pelletier has garnered quite the following on the internet (despite him claiming that he doesn't use the internet). Ask anyone in the Pine Tree State about the man and they'll likely tell you about how much they idolize him or about that one time they spotted him ripping down White Heat at Sunday River. He's one of the biggest legends the state has ever produced.

I parked in a big underground garage and popped up out of the ground like a rabid squirrel right at the lifts. This was the first and only day I've skied alone the entire trip (I've been out here since Feb 3). I had absolutely no idea where to go. I jumped on the Olympique tram-gondola because I'd never seen a setup like that before. Each cabin was massive, holding maybe 40 people or more, with tons of seating. Everything is so civilized here.

Clearly, it's the snowboarder's fault. Just kidding, the answer here is pretty clear: it's the skier in the orange coat. The skier in the red coat was well in front of him, and the orange coat, who was the uphill skier, didn't slow down at all until he collided with the other guy. In addition, the guy in the red coat is skiing in complete control and is laying down some nice turns.

Whitetail Resort is located in Central Pennsylvania and is a legit hidden gem for skiers and snowboarders in the mid-Atlantic region. This ski resort gets seriously underestimated by many. I was travelling from one resort to another, and Whitetail was on the way to my next destination. I almost didn't go because I was on the road for two weeks straight, but I'm so glad I did-it's way better than I expected.

A friend and I went skiing on a very steep and icy slope (closed the previous day, during which the top layer of snow melted and froze again), I fell and didn't manage to slow down. I learned my lesson and I hope some of you will too! Be very careful on steep, icy slopes and learn how to self arrest! I got lucky and managed to get away with just a few bruises.

The 2025-26 season is an enigma, with snowstorms and temperatures across the United States not following traditional weather patterns. The current situation for skiing and snowboarding has been flipped upside down. The East has been consistently receiving adequate snow, and more importantly, the temperatures have remained below freezing for months. Skiing is hard enough as it is, but the Sickos crew wanted to see if they could make it even harder. They've done a lot in the past to do that, including skiing on enormous, 11-foot-long skis, but this new style of skiing seems to take it to the next level. World renown speedrider (paragliding skier) Valentin Delluc couldn't help himself from using his unique combination of skills to spread Christmas cheers from the skies above Avoriaz Ski Resort in France. Valentin donned a Santa suit and wicker basket while buzzing the towns rooftops and tossing packages. He couldn't help himself but to get a little bit naughty and went in for a railslide on a chairlift haul rope. Wishing everyone a very merry and very rad Christmas!

While Austria offers charming, traditional villages with historic centers, France tends to offer more purpose-built resorts that are more functional. France also has more ski-in/ski-out accommodations and cheaper simple apartments. In both countries, resorts tend to be very international with English widely spoken.
