The images "draw on Simon's own photography, even using his camera," Ashby added. "The aim was to reveal a side of [him] which people may not have encountered before: something freer, perhaps more open. That sense of freedom feels central to the spirit of this new show. Johnny Taylor, Jr. is an American stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and podcaster from Sacramento, California. Taylor has released two comedy albums and a charity single on Stand Up! Records. Now he's back at The Marsh theater in Berkeley with his latest show, What Is to be Done? which has been such a hit it is now on its third extension.

LOS ANGELES -- Searchlight Pictures' "Is This Thing On?" stars Will Arnett and Laura Dern as a couple in a struggling marriage. The dramedy - directed, produced, and with a screenplay by Bradley Cooper - follows Alex (Arnett), who is "seeking new purpose in the New York comedy scene." In the newly released trailer, Alex begins his stand-up comedy set with "I think I'm getting a divorce. What tipped me off was that I'm living in an apartment on my own. Yeah, and my wife and kids don't live there, so... That was probably the- the biggest clue."

One of the best stand-up comedians working today, Rachel Feinstein is coming to The Room at The Clubhouse Hamptons in East Hampton (174 Daniels Hole Road) this Wednesday, August 27 from 811 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.). Presented by Governor's Comedy Club, Feinstein's show will be new material following the release of her hit Netflix special Big Guy, released in May of 2024, where she shared many stories of her NYC firefighter husband, her wacky parents and young daughter.

While Sunnyvale and Mountain View residents can still pick up free compost and mulch at the Sunnyvale SMaRT Station at 301 Carl Road, there's now a second pickup location at Charles Street Gardens, 433 Charles St. in Sunnyvale. This compost is organic, made from local yard trimmings, and certified by the U.S. Composting Council. Residents can pick up as much as 200 gallons per person per week in the gardens' parking lot. The site is open daily. Bring your own shovel and container.

I think I just touched on those topics because they're sometimes topics I think about. And, it was easy to think of a joke. It was just kind of shedding some goofy light on these topics.
