Electronic Arts is close to reaching a $50 billion deal that will turn it into a privately held company, according to The Wall Street Journal. The video game company filed for an IPO way back in 1990 and has been public ever since, but now a group of investors are in talks with the company to take it private. Those investors reportedly include private equity firm Silver Lake, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Jared Kushner's Affinity Partners, whose largest source of funding is also Saudi's PIF.

Daniel Ahmad emphasized the unrealistic nature of Konvoy's $7.6 billion revenue projection for GTA 6, describing it as 'an aggressive forecast for the first 60 days.' He highlighted that achieving this revenue would require nearly 65% of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S users to purchase the game within that timeframe.
Id Software's 1996 Quake was recognized for its lasting influence, with a game code that "is a literal legacy" and continues to be used in some games after nearly 30 years, electronic games curator Lindsey Kurano said.
