I just mean that we kinda mentally bucket him as this solid, fungible, don't-worry-about-him-he's-just-Colin guy, and then focus on other guys in various discussions. Given how good and valuable Rea was for the Cubs in 2025, stepping in to the rotation for pretty much the whole year - and succeeding - when he was needed, I wondered why I rarely think about him, his role for 2026, and how he might project.

The Army Black Knights (16-5) will attempt to build on a three-game home win streak when they take on the Colgate Raiders (6-15) on February 4, 2026 at Christl Arena. The Grizzlies suddenly have a treasure trove of future firsts. Per Bobby Marks of ESPN, the Grizzlies' tally is 13 first-rounders across the next seven seasons. Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reports that Utah is sending Memphis its most favorable first-rounder in 2027 between the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Jazz; the Los Angeles Lakers' 2027 first-round pick; and the Phoenix Suns' 2031 first.

Another rumor emerged recently that the Detroit Pistons, who could use a bit of 3-point marksmanship help, are also contemplating a move for White. Now, a new team has emerged as a possible White suitor: the Houston Rockets. Sidery suggests that Chicago team president Arturas Karnisovas could be open to a deal surrounding a future Houston first-round draft pick (the Rockets have many), plus the contract of a veteran like Dorian Finney-Smith or the injured Steven Adams to match money.

What isn't there to like about Roch Cholowsky? He was the National Player of the Year as a sophomore, as he smashed 23 homers for UCLA while leading the team to the College World Series. He is above average when it comes to hitting for average, hitting for power, arm strength, and defense. Some scouts are calling him the best college shortstop prospect since Troy Tulowitzki. As of now, it looks like it will be tough for anyone else to challenge for number 1.
