Jinhui Restaurant, Livat Shanghai / Atelier Alittle
Briefly

Jinhui, a chain of Chinese restaurants, aims to deliver a youthful and vibrant dining experience while capturing the essence of street food. In an open-air plaza in Livat Shanghai, the design team cleverly divides the space, utilizing a triangular zone for service functions and a rectangular main dining area. Structural challenges are met by wrapping columns in piers that enhance functionality and aesthetics, while a well-planned slanted roof maximizes volume and intimacy, using scaffolding and wood materials to evoke a raw aesthetic reminiscent of street vendors.
