Three members of the O'Connor family—Mark, Louise and their son Evan—were found at their home in the Drumgowna area near Tallanstown after a care worker raised the alarm this morning. The carer discovered Mark O'Connor's body at the front gates, found Evan lying at the side of the house, and located Ms O'Connor in an upstairs room. A 31-year-old male known to the victims was arrested by armed detectives and is detained under Section 4 in the Garda North West Region for up to 24 hours. The Offices of the Coroner and the State Pathologist have been notified. Gardaí say they are not seeking anyone else and investigations are ongoing. Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan said there is no further threat to the public.
