According to the latest European sales data, as reported by Christopher Dring of The Game Business, Black Ops 7 has sold 63% less copies in its opening week than Battlefield 6 achieved during its launch week in October. Let's do some quick math: we know that Battlefield 6 sold 7 million copies in its first week, so if the GSD sales data is correct, that puts Black Ops 7 at roughly 4.4 million copies sold.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's new version of Nuketown arrived on November 20, and one of the first things people tried on it was shooting off all the mannequin heads to unlock the long-running Nuketown Easter egg. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Black Ops 7, at least not yet. This isn't a huge shock, though, as Black Ops 6's version of Nuketown didn't unlock the Easter egg right away, either.

Once again, Activision has reimagined one of Call of Duty's most iconic maps, Nuketown, and it's launching on November 20 for Black Ops 7. Now, Activision has released a new trailer dedicated to the map, which shows off its new look. The new version is called Nuketown 2025, and as you can see in the trailer, the map appears to be based on the same Nuketown 2025 from Black Ops 2. This makes sense as Black Ops 7 is a sequel to Black Ops 2.

Black Ops 7, which can be accessed through the Call of Duty app, crossed 100,000 peak concurrent players on Steam on Sunday, as epr SteamDB, two days after it launched. Those numbers pale in comparison to Battlefield 6 and Arc Raiders, which hit 700,000 and 300,000 peak concurrent player counts on the platform right after launch. It is, however, worth noting that a large chunk of Black Ops 7 players on PC would have accessed the shooter through their Game Pass

Activision has revealed new details regarding the upcoming preload for the launch of Black Ops 7. The game releases on November 14, but players can start preloading Black Ops 7 as early as November 10. This update for the Call of Duty HQ will also include reorganized and existing Black Ops 6 and Warzone content packs, so players will want to be aware of some additional downloads.

Activision notes that Black Ops 7 will only support Intel/AMD processors (with AVX instruction set), and that Intel ARC GPUs require Resizable Bar. The game also needs a broadband internet connection and DirectX12 compatibility. TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are mandatory as well.

One of the most popular elements of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's multiplayer beta has been its "open" playlists, which only include "minimal skill consideration," or, in essence, little or no SBMM. Now, Activision has confirmed that this will be the default for Black Ops 7 multiplayer at launch, and it's something that some part of the audience has been requesting for years.

This planned update also includes adjustments to the automatic doors on the multiplayer maps. Black Ops 7 removed the manual doors from recent Call of Duty games and added automatic doors, and these open either when players get close or when someone shoots them. It's uncertain what changes can be expected for the doors, but it's possible this is related to the sensitivity of the sensors or the speed at which they open.

Call of Duty: Next, Activision's annual Call of Duty reveal event, is coming today, September 30, promising news and updates on Black Ops 7's multiplayer, Zombies, and campaign. We're also expecting updates on what's next for the battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone. It's a major event for one of the biggest FPS franchises out there, and it'll be streamed live for everyone to watch.

While we don't know the exact names of a small handful of the weapons in Black Ops 7 just yet, thanks to a new gameplay trailer and accompanying blog post, we can now provide the specifics around the guns and other weapons available in the new Call of Duty game. There's also a new feature coming to Loadouts--Overclocking--that allows you to supercharge your gear and unlock certain enhancements during matches, including faster Field Upgrades, reduced Scorestreak costs, and more dangerous equipment.
