Exophase has shared all 53 of the Xbox Achievements in Battlefield 6, which will show up as Trophies on PlayStation 5. On Xbox, the Achievements account for 1,185 Gamerscore points. There are 11 secret tasks, including awards for playing 74 matches in any version of Battle Royale or winning seven matches in Battle Royale: Duos. Some of the awards appear to have random numbers chosen for their goals, including stunning enemies 316 times or reviving teammates 1988 times.
October 28: Rogue Ops This first phase adds the Blackwell Fields map, along with a new mode called Strikepoint and a new vehicle called Traverser Mark 2. It also adds new guns, including the SOR-300SC carbine, the GGH-22 sidearm, the Mini Scout sniper rifle, and the Rail Cover and LPVO attachments. November 18: California Resistance The second phase of Season 1 adds a new map, Eastwood, along with a limited-time mode called Sabotage.
As confirmed previously, there is no early access for Battlefield 6, so the game will launch at the same time for everyone on October 10. The global rollout begins at 8 AM PT on October 10, which works out to 11 AM ET and 4 PM BST. You can see more global launch times below, as posted by Battlefield Bulletin. GameSpot has contacted EA in an attempt to confirm these times and get more information.
Battlefield 6 players have made it pretty clear that they don't want the game to follow in the footsteps of Call of Duty with its celebrity operators and cartoon-like skins featuring Beavis and Butt-head. Now, EA and Battlefield Studios appear to be poking fun at Call of Duty with a live-action Battlefield 6 trailer that introduces some celebrities soldiers before ruthlessly dispatching them.
When DICE revealed Battlefield Portal in 2021, it seemed like the end-all-be-all of the series' multiplayer mode. As it was pitched, this mode would let players customize their experience down to the finest details. They could recreate the feel, loadouts, vehicles, maps, and limitations of past Battlefield games spanning any era. The Portal would also let players create brand new rule sets that are as wacky or as hardcore a Battlefield experience as they craved.
Battlefield 6 is one of the rare triple-A games whose developers were happy to let the public - some of them, at least - play the game well ahead of its release. This wasn't as part of a beta/demo three weeks from launch; it was a conscious effort to get the community involved months in advance, and give the developers enough time to actually iterate and implement whatever feedback they felt would help make a better game.
The Fidelity mode emphasizes resolution, while Performance targets frame rate. Fidelity mode on Xbox Series X reaches a maximum resolution of 1440p and targets 60fps, while PS5's Fidelity mode cranks up to 1440p and 60fps. Performance mode on Xbox Series X reaches a maximum resolution of 1280p but targets 80fps, and the same values hold for PS5's Performance mode. The PS5 Pro, meanwhile, ratchets things up to 2160p/60fps for Fidelity mode and 1620p/80fps for Performance mode.
A spokesperson for EA confirmed the finer details about how cross-play works on console, and that is that when it's toggled on, the game will prioritize console-only cross-play, but not guarantee it. Players can select Cross-play Off to only play against people on their platform. On PC, cross-play is on by default and cannot be turned off. Here are the two settings and their descriptions, as written by EA:
It's no secret that Xbox Series S isn't as powerful as Xbox Series X and PS5. As such, that created a challenge for EA and Battlefield Studios in bringing Battlefield 6 to Microsoft's console. But, at the same time, technical director Christian Buhl noted supporting Xbox Series S wasn't much different than focusing on different performance targets across PC builds.
"That was because we wanted to focus on performance," Buhl said. "We wanted to make sure that all of our effort was focused on making the game as [optimized] as possible for the default settings and default users."
Roughly 9-minutes of new footage of Battlefield 6 recently leaked showing off more of its battle royale mode. The map looks massive and the gameplay shows swimming and shooting while in the water. There's also a dual-purpose ladder gizmo and smashing through a concrete wall with a sledgehammer. "Can't wait to play 1 single round of this then go back to the real Battlefield and never touch it again," wrote on fan on Reddit.
The Battlefield 6 testing program, Battlefield Labs, is ramping back up this week following the end of the game's popular open beta earlier this month. A leaked document reveals that the next Battlefield Labs test will begin on Friday, August 29, across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. There is no word yet on what content might be in the next Labs test, however.
Battlefield 6's open beta didn't top all of the charts last week, but it did take No. 1 on Steam before landing at No. 4 on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. Circana senior director Mat Piscatella has shared charts tracking player engagement during the week ending on August 16, and Battlefield 6 was dominant on Steam in North America, Canada, and Mexico.
The M87A1 shotgun was too powerful in the beta, many said, and now Battlefield Studios will make a change to it so it "requires more pellets to secure a kill." The developer was made aware of the shotgun issues almost immediately after the beta went live, and the studio said on August 10 that the shotgun problems were already "resolved" in a different build of the game.
