In a circa 1870s Greenpoint tenement building turned co-op not far from McGoldrick Park, this top-floor unit has period charm, modern updates, and low maintenance. The four-story, eight-unit wood frame walkup at 100 Newel Street boasts a well-preserved exterior with Italianate/Neo Grec-style arched and incised window surrounds, a matching canopy over the front door, bay windows, and a bracketed cornice. "I was totally blown away. It's a huge unexpected gift," Karen G. Costa, who has rented Brooklyn Psychotherapy's office at 705 Manhattan Ave. for years, told The Post. "I almost cried."
I got my license at the end of 2022, and the process has been grueling, but we definitely pulled through, Van Roten told Brooklyn Paper. BROOKLYN, NY - A 65-year-old man was attacked and robbed Sunday night in Greenpoint after a suspect shoved him to the ground and stole his bag before fleeing the scene. The assault occurred around 10:08 p.m. in front of 1055 Manhattan Avenue. Police said an unidentified man approached the victim, forced him to the ground, and snatched his crossbody bag, which contained U.S. currency and bank cards.
That spark led her to open Last Place on Earth in Greenpoint in March 2020 - just one day before COVID-19 lockdowns began. "So far, it's been incredible. Being able to pull back the curtain and show everyone our space has been exciting for me because it's been a process," he said. "We built this from scratch - we had to install this big bar, our arches, stone and marble. It took time, but to be able to show everyone was like a celebration of what we've accomplished in the past year. Now it's time to get to work."
The new campus will be the sixth location for the early childhood education private school in New York City, and a 20-year lease was signed for the 10,172 square feet on the ground floor of Tower 77.
